Verl Lloyd Ashcraft passed away at home with his family on November 29, 2021. Born on October 28, 1932 in Springville, Utah, Verl was the second of 6 children born to Lloyd James Ashcraft and Helen Manwaring Ashcraft. Dad was one of the friendliest, most genuine people you could ever meet. He loved his family and was so proud of each of our accomplishments. Dad worked hard all his life. Even in his 80’s he was still searching the paper for a job he could do.
Dad loved to write silly poems and share them at family parties. He also loved to putter in the yard, watch sports of all kinds and he particularly liked to play tennis. He played his last game just this year. These last few months he never complained and was cheerful to the very end. We will miss his kind heart and playful, good-natured personality.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne Ashcraft, son Paul (Cindy) Ashcraft, daughter Shannon (Eric) Eliason, daughter Tracy (Bruce) Boehm, and daughter-in-law Shelley Seymore, as well as many grand children and great-grand children, sister Nelda Bird, sister Geneil (Russ) Sly, sister Marilyn (Bob) Mayor and brother Don Ashcraft. He is preceded in death by his sister Elaine and step-son Curtis Seymore.
Special thanks to the staff at Bristol Hospice who have taken such wonderful care of him over these last 8 months.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 11th at 12:00pm at the LDS chapel at 14 Bonanza Rd in Farmington, Utah.
