Sherrie Jeannine Marriott passed away peacefully following a brief illness on May 13th, 2023. She was born on December 26th, 1953 to Lavon Cramer and Jeannine Smith in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sherrie grew up in the Salt Lake City area, and completed her education in 2008. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Services Management. Sherrie lived in Utah, California, and Oregon throughout her life. She was married most of her adult life.
Sherrie made life long friends of all ages wherever she went. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed serving in many capacities, including Relief Society President. She enjoyed classic country music, square dancing, and loved attending family functions where her father and brothers played several instruments, in which case she also played the guitar. Sherrie also enjoyed entertaining and did so with elegance and flair.
Sherrie was very active as a young mother, making sure her children participated in music and cultural activities. She also loved Beach Days with her friends and children. Sherrie loved being a grandmother.
Sherrie is survived by her children, Mindi Yost, Spring Bailey, and Mauri P. Jarvinen, as well as nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Sherrie is preceded in death by her parents and their spouses. Her brothers, Richard and Kent Cramer, and son-in-law Joshua Yost.
A graveside service will be held to celebrate her life on Thursday, May 18th 2023 at 3:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery on 6500 S Redwood Rd, SLC, UT, 84123.
