Reed Jorgensen

October 19, 1956 — February 5, 2021

Reed Allen Jorgensen, a loving father, grandfather and friend went home on February 5, 2021. Reed was born October 19, 1956, to Willard and Jeneal Jorgensen. He graduated from Viewmont High School in 1975, and went on to become an electrician with IBEW. He started on August 1, 1978 and retired one year ago after 42 years.

Reed had the biggest heart, and cared about everyone he met. He was generous and kind to anyone he felt needed it. He could make a conversation with anyone he met. He was outgoing and truly fun to be around. Reed was happy and easygoing.

Reed, who most knew as Allen, loved growing up in Bountiful, and had many fond memories with family and friends. He would spend much of his summers riding bikes, and playing in the orchards. He loved to play basketball, bowl, and golf in his free time. Reed loved to read the newspaper, and couldn’t start his day without a cup of coffee and the paper.

Reed spent many years caring for and nurturing his mother. He was very patient and loving to her with all that was needed. They had such a special bond and are surely having a special reunion in heaven now.

Reed loved his daughters and spent a lot of time with them and his grandkids. He was their biggest cheerleaders in all that they did and accomplished. He could sit and chat for hours with them or watch any movies they asked him to. He was so caring, empathic, and sensitive. He loved to babysit and hang out with his grandkids more than anything. They were always on his mind. He had the biggest heart and always allowed his family to know how much that he loved them.

Reed is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Brent), Amanda, and 5 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, sister, and nephews.
