In Loving Memory of Ray Richards Johnson

"Gone fishing"

Ray Richards Johnson, born on December 8, 1963, unexpectedly departed from this life on December 11, 2023. Born in Salt Lake City, UT, Ray spent his formative years in Bountiful, UT, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Ray dedicated 35 years of his life to the auto body paint industry, leaving a legacy of hard work and craftsmanship. His skilled hands and keen eye for detail earned him respect among colleagues and admiration from those who witnessed his talent.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Ray found solace and joy in his favorite pastime—fishing. The call of the open water and the thrill of the catch were central to his identity. Boating and the art of cooking were additional passions that brought Ray immeasurable happiness.

Ray also showcased his culinary talents in various Salt Lake City restaurants, leaving a flavorful impact on the local dining scene. His love for cooking reflected his warm and generous spirit.

Ray is survived by his sister, Beck Pearce, and his brother, Brett Johnson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Edwin Johnson, and stepbrother, Duane Johnson. Ray will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and coworkers.

A celebration of Ray's life will take place this summer at Strawberry Reservoir, surrounded by the beauty he cherished and in the company of close family and friends. This gathering will be a testament to the love and camaraderie that Ray shared with those around him.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the ICU staff at Lakeview Hospital for their compassionate care during Ray's time of need.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to [Charity/Organization] in Ray's honor.

May Ray Richards Johnson rest in eternal peace, and may the memories of his laughter, his love for fishing, and his culinary delights bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
