Neil Patrick Madsen returned to live with his Heavenly Father on the morning of April 28th, 2023. Neil was born to Lorin and Patricia Madsen in Ridgecrest, California on November 11th, 1960. Neil was the second of two sons to Lorin and Patricia. Although he spent his early years in California, he moved to Layton Utah when he was 5. Neil excelled in academics and made many lifelong friends in his formative years. When Neil was 19, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Santiago, Chile. He served faithfully and even helped to open a new area. Two weeks after he got back from his mission, he met Paula Snow at a dance at BYU. They quickly fell in love and were blessed with four children: Kristiane, Jeffery, Alicia, and Sarah. Neil worked tirelessly, alongside his brother, to create a thriving precast concrete company by the name of Confab. Neil was someone who was always on the lookout for how he could help his fellow man and as a result, touched many lives.
Neil’s viewing will take place on Monday, May 8th from 6-8pm at the church located at 190 N Country Lane in Kaysville. There will be another viewing from 10-10:45am on Tuesday May 9th at the same location. The funeral service will then follow from 11-12pm. The burial will then take place at the Kaysville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to the Humanitarian fund through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or any organization that participates in microloans for impoverished countries.
