Max Moore returned to his Father in Heaven on March 12, 2018 after a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s. He was 83 years old and was born in Castle Rock, Utah to Samuel and Dora Moore. He was the youngest of seven children. Max married Floriene on April 14, 1961 in the Logan Temple and they enjoyed 57 wonderful years together. They are the parents of two children, Darwin and Darla Sue. He was a faithful member of the LDS church and served in many callings, including the Bishopric. Max served a mission in the Eastern States from 1957 – 1959. He served his country in the Air Force. Max made friends easily, and all who knew him quickly grew to love him. He loved spending time in the outdoors with his horses, hunting, fishing, and skiing. He also enjoyed raising mink/ferrets, working on the cattle ranch, and was fond of the family dog. Max was a barber cutting hair primarily in Randolph, Utah. He was a dedicated employee working for over 61 years at Smith’s. Max enjoyed exploring and traveling, and was passionate about sharing stories of his experiences with family and friends. Max is survived by his wife, Floriene, son Darwin (Debbie), daughter Darla (Robin) Anderson and six grandchildren: Brixton (Celeste) Anderson, Chelsea (Sean) Lambert, Mitcham Anderson, Chalise, Chantel and Spencer Moore.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the loving service rendered on Max and Floriene’s behalf while dealing with his illness; specifically the caregivers from CNS and the members of the Parkway Second and Fourth Wards. We are grateful to all those who have served in so many ways.
