Louisa Annie Greenhalgh Anderson, age 85, peacefully passed away Sunday, April 29, from acute respiratory failure. She was born on February 18, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Wilfred Greenhalgh and Annie Elizabeth Simister Greenhalgh. On November 14, 1952, she married Neal Bischoff Anderson in the Salt Lake Temple, who has preceded her in death. They were a loving couple through all their married life.
Louisa was always close to and involved with her family. She raised a handicapped son, which presented its own special challenges. She took grandchildren on vacation when she and Dad were able. When she was unable to live on her own, her daughter, Kathy, took Mom into her home where Kathy could take care of her mother. Louisa and Dad started the tradition of a family vacation to Fish Lake, a tradition that continues to this day. She took a distant relative into her home when there was a great need. Louisa also remained an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Mom could make friends anywhere.
Louisa is survived by her brother, Richard Greenhalgh, her children Paul (Laurie) Anderson, Kathy (Steve) Bacher, and Brian Anderson. She has six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, May 4th, 2018, at the LDS chapel on 2651 South 500 West, Bountiful, starting at 10 am. Interment will follow at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
