Bountiful, Utah - Lois Betty L. Ross, 102, passed away March 20, 2025 of natural causes.
She was born November 18, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Lawrence Larsen and Josie Dott Christensen. Betty married Ernest Erwin Bourne in 1945 and they were later divorced. She married Samuel C. Ross, July 9, 1955, in Sacramento, California, and they were later sealed in the Cardston Alberta Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Betty graduated from Fresno State University and taught Home Economics and English for 23 years at Clovis High in California, Weber High in North Ogden, and Bountiful Junior High.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she and Sam fulfilled a mission in Denmark. Betty was also an active member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers for more than 20 years. She loved gardening, homemaking, and social activities with her many friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband and four siblings. She is survived by one son, four daughters, six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
There will not be a viewing. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 29 in the chapel of the Bountiful 16th Ward, 720 East 550 North, Bountiful, Utah, followed by interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
