Lairy Eldredge Wood

Lairy E. Wood 89, born 18-FEB-1932 in Woods Cross to Cristie Eldredge & Joseph H. Wood.  He passed away 20-OCT-2021 at the Holladay Healthcare Center in SLC.  Lairy was tutored by the Winegars from West Bountiful in the grocery business; worked for them, and later bought and managed his own store in Farmington for many years.  Lairy was gifted with musical talent as
with guitar & singing voice; he entertained many occasions – family, his employees, high school
reunions, and church road shows.  Lairy had a unique personality with speaking to and relating
with people regardless of their appearance or background; it was amazing to watch.  He lettered
in sports including baseball, basketball, and later excelled in golf winning many tournaments.
Lairy also served in the Armed Forces as a cook at an installation in Kentucky during the Korean
Conflict.  He married Rosalie Whitesides in the Salt Lake temple; they had five children, losing
one prematurely in 2007.  Surviving is his wife Rosalie, daughters Andrea and Allyson, sons
Garner and Courtney, and three grandchildren.  Services will be held at 12 noon 28-OCT-2021 at
Kimball Mill Ward – 650 S. 200 E. in Bountiful UT, where friends may call from 11:00 am. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery
