Kevin Sager

Kevin John Sager peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on March 5, 2019. Kevin was born on August 18, 1956 to David and Janice Sager. He spent his early years in Highland, Utah, where he was surrounded by great friends that influenced him throughout his life. He served an LDS Mission to South Dakota, Rapid City. He also was a veteran, serving with the Marines. Kevin married Jennifer Gerrard and together they had their precious daughter, Samantha. He also welcomed a beautiful step-daughter, Kady, into his life. His love for Samantha was complete and she will always be the best thing in his life. Kevin was an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. His greatest joys in life were spent in the mountains hunting, fishing, camping and hiking. He loved doing these activities with his daughter, brothers, nephews, and cousin. Hunting season was the highlight his year, and then fishing filled in the rest of the year! Kevin will be remembered for his personality and quick wit. He enjoyed his time living in Midvale, Utah and connected with many friends there. His family is appreciative of the Veteran’s Hospital and their expertise as they supported him during his long battle of heart failure. They are also grateful for the service and compassion given by First Choice Home Health and Hospice. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Sager, mother, Janice Bottema and siblings, Jeff Sager (Rose), Jan Beck (Michael), Dennis Sager (Karlin), Shannon Sager (Cindy), Penny McEntire (Merlin), and Jennifer May (Stacy). He was preceded in death by his father, David Elmo Sager. Celebration of his life will occur with a viewing on Sunday, March, 9th, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at the LDS Chapel on 300 N 500 E, Lehi, Utah. Funeral services will be at the same location on Monday, March 10th at 11:00 a.m. A viewing from 10-10:45 a.m. will occur prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Midvale City Cemetery.
