Kenneth DeWitt Lund

Our beloved father, Kenneth (Kenny) DeWitt Lund, Grumpy-Gramps, Great Grandfather, brother and friend passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at age 96. 

Kenny was born on September 29, 1927, the oldest of five children born to DeWitt (Dick) Lavaur Lund and Florence Rose Miles. His siblings: Lamar, Juanita, twins, Millie and Miles.

Kenny married Nancy Jayne Allen on August 25, 1949, in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the proud parents of Brent, James, Elise’ and Allen. Together, they did everything they could to help their children be successful in their lives. They were both talented artists and their legacy of creativity and art blossomed with their children and grandchildren. Kenny was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, his parents, siblings: Lamar, Miles and Millie; Nancy’s parents; Jennie Allen Creer (John) and a granddaughter, Misty Jayne Lund. Survivors include: Brent (Michele); James; Elise’ (Curtis Allred) and Allen Lund. He was known as Grumpy Gramps, but one of Kenny’s grandkid’s thought it funny that they called him Grumpy Gramps because he thought he was the nicest man and he was! They have 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. His sister, Juanita Sonntag (Donald-deceased) also survives him along with Nancy’s siblings: Lanny Barnard (Jack); Leslie Brown (Craig-deceased) and Kerri Hawthorne (Greg) and many nieces and nephews. 

Services for Kenny will be held at a later date.
