Karen Malone

Karen Malone, 62, of Vernal, Utah, passed on July 03, 2023. Karen was born on November 26, 1960. To Ivan Stanley Malone and Genevieve Wallberg, She was born Raised in California, in her younger years before her family moved back to Utah where she attended cottonwood high school. Karen participated in the ROTC program in which she recalled some of her fondest memories, she could always be found at the local skating rink or on a softball field she loved the outdoors and motorcycles she loved to cook and bake, and she always made Christmas Candy with her mom and daughters. Karen married Cliff Vanvalkenburg on March 31,1979 and they had 2 daughters they later divorced in 2002. Karen loved her Grandkids and would do anything for them, they were the light of her life! Karen is survived by her daughters Christina (Darrin) Gennie (Casey), Grandchildren Dakota, Nancy, Taysen, & Ethon. Sisters Cindy & Angela, Brothers Tim, Justin, & Mel. Along with many nephews and nieces. Karen is preceded in Death by her mother Genevieve Wallberg, brothers Michel and Kevin, her Granny and Grandpa and many others who we are sure welcomed her on the other side with open arms. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Karen’s name to help with a celebration of life and final expenses.
