Julie Rebecca Moore Ogilvie, age 49, of Bountiful, Utah, passed away on April 22.2019, from post-op multiple organ failure due to a chronic blood clotting disorder.
Julie was born September 16, 1969 in Atlanta, Georgia, to Margaret Stewart and Leonard H. Moore, Jr. She graduated from Jeffersontown High School in Louisville, Kentucky, part of the Class of 1987. She worked almost all of her life in the medical field, most recently as a clinic coordinator.
During her lifetime, she and her family enjoyed living in many different parts of the country -- Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Oregon, South Carolina, Arizona, and Utah. In each place they found lots of outdoor recreation fun – white-water rafting, camping, hiking, exploring, snow skiing hilarity, cabin adventures in the Smoky Mountains, and Myrtle Beach retreats. From her earliest life, one of Julie’s passions was dancing, and she was good at all kinds of dancing, most recently line dancing. She also loved singing loud with kids or grandkids with the car windows rolled down, taking granddaughters on bus adventures, cooking Southern food, riding Harleys, eating Mexican food, anything related to dolphins, and her family.
Predeceased by father Leonard Hillary Moore, Jr. , grandparents John and Edna Stewart, and grandparents Leonard and Frances Moore. Survived by parents Margy and Merrill Menlove; daughters Laura Greene, Lindsey Tippy, Emily Greene, and Whitney Shurtleff; ex-husband and best friend Matthew Ballejos; and her nine grandchildren, Maliyah, Kiya, Kate, Junior, Monica, Mikey, Millie, Kynzlee, and Jackson.
She was loved more than she ever knew and will be greatly missed. Memorial gathering to be announced at a later date.
