John was born and raised in New York City, New York. At the early age of 17 he joined the Air Force, and served for 4 years. He settled in California when his good friend, Mickey Hazel, invited him to come out west. John took classes at L. A. City College. He worked for the County Assessor’s Office over 20 years and retired from there. John was an avid jazz fan and enjoyed playing / watching tennis. He recently moved to Utah to be near his daughter and grandchildren. He leaves behind his daughter Brandi and her children, his brother Peter, his niece Katrina, his nephews Darrell and Michael, and a host of family members, along with many lifelong friends.
Celebration of life will be at a later date.
