Jesus Ojeda

Jesus Ojeda Martinez, 68, beloved father and husband, went home to be with God on June 28, 2022. He was born in Estipac, Jaliso, Mexico on September 1, 1953.

Jesus is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sara, son Valentin, daughters; Maria and Elsa; granddaughters Crystal, Valentina; grandsons; Joseph, Anthony, Elias and one on the way. Sisters, Enedina, Carmen, Margarita, Rosa, Veronica; brother, Raul as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Carmel Ojeda and his mother Francisca Martinez.

My dad loved to read, watch soccer games on tv and take long naps in the backyard. He enjoyed the company of good friends and family. He always thought about going back to Mexico, he felt free and at home every time he was there. While in Mexico he spent much of his time attending to his sugar cane fields this made him happy, something he was familiar with since childhood. Dad retired a few years ago, convinced him to go to Maui, Hawaii, said he had never seen such a beautiful place. I will never forget how much fun we all had on that trip.

Dad was a fighter through and through; did and tried everything to fight his illness but it became too much to bear. Thank you for everything you have taught us even when you were at the end of your journey you showed us never to give up. We love you and will forever be missed, until we meet again.

God saw that he was getting tired,

A cure was not to be

So, he put His arms around him and whispered, “Come with Me’

With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer,

And saw him fade away

Although we loved him dearly,

We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes “the best.”
