Harvey Berg

June 13, 1942 — May 16, 2021

Harvey Lawrence Berg passed into the eternal realm, Sunday, May 16, 2021 surrounded by his
loving family, in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Born June 13, 1942 in beautiful Heber Valley (Midway), to
Arthur Herman and Virginia Murri Berg. Educated in Heber City schools and graduated from
Wasatch High School where he enjoyed playing the coronet in the band, wrestling at a
championship level and spinning the disks at the hops.
Traveled to Southern California after high school, to further his education at Northrop Institute
of Technology, graduating from California State University Fullerton in Civil Engineering.
Worked for Western Electric and Rockwell International as an Aerospace Engineer. He delighted
in working in the space program of our country.
Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as Bishop for an extended
time, High Councilor and in the Scouting program where he was awarded the Silver Beaver
award after 60 years of service to the young men. Many other years were spent in service in the
LA LDS Temple, as an assistant coordinator.
Married his sweetheart, Audrey Lynn Barrett (Torrance, CA) on March 20th, 1964 in Torrance,
CA. Later to be made his eternal companion when solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple.
Father, Coach and friend to four children who enjoyed sports at extended levels all over the
world, most often with Mom and Dad in tow.
Survived by his wife, Lynn, children: Greg (Monica) Santa Fe Springs, CA, Geoff (Michelle) Chino,
CA, Laura (Diana) Albany, OR and Randi, Santa Fe Springs, CA. 9 Grandchildren, 3 Great-
Grandchildren, Sister: Audrey (Alan) Pettit, Grass Valley, CA ???. Brothers: Michael (Carrie)
Bountiful, UT, Mark (Melanie) Heber City, UT.
Preceded in death by his parents, Brother Lowell (and his wife Sandra), Sister Madilyn.
A memorial service will be held at the LDS Santa Fe Springs Ward Building, June 12, 2021 at
11722 Florence Ave, SFS, CA 90670 at 10 am.

Friends and Family may call at the LDS Church, Saturday June 19, 2021 at 240 East 400 South Heber City at 10:00 am. A graveside service will follow at the Midway
City Cemetery 500 South 700 West Wasatch County, Midway City, Utah 84049, on June 19,
2021 at 11am. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
The family would like to thank APEX Hospice Care, Michelle Drinkard, Jackie Cadena and other
caregivers.
Other:  In lieu of flowers, donations to Little Lake Educational Advancement Foundation to help
fund the sport programs are appreciated or any worthy charity that blesses mankind. Or please
give service to another with Harvey in mind.
