Our dear loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, relative and friend. Georgia Dee Johanson died peacefully September 20, 2021, surrounded by loved ones at St. Marks Hospital at the age of 85.
Georgia was born October 29, 1935 in Hailstone, Utah to George Arnold Wright and Fawn Davis Wright. She met the love of her life, Glenn Douglas Johanson through softball. They later married October 26,1951; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple January 9,1980. They raised 8 children together. She loved movies, horses, traveling, especially to Disneyland, roses, family, the gospel and the Rock. She retired from being a dental assistant in her late sixties. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn and her parents.
Survived by her brother: Wallace Wright (Charolette); daughters: Kathy Paul, Geri (Jerald) Broderick, Machee (Brian) Whitesides, Teri Allred, Amber Lee Johanson, Tammy (Rob) Sasaki; sons: John Johanson, Michael Johanson; she has 21 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Greenfield Chapel, 6634 So. Greenfield Way, Cottonwood Heights, UT., where a viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
