Edna Jean Gourley (71) was born on February 15, 1947 to William Boyd Gourley and Jean Francis Gourley in Salt Lake City, Utah. She died on Monday, October 29th, 2018 of natural causes.
She grew up in Magna, Utah and graduated from Cyprus High School. She attended Dixie State College and earned a book keeping degree from Utah Technical College. She served a mission in the Central States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She worked as a seamstress for Beehive clothing for 35 years.
Edna was an avid reader; she loved books. She also enjoyed watching Hallmark Movies. She liked to call family members from time-to-time to check up on them. She had a special love for her nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. She enjoyed buying gifts for them well in advance of Christmas.
Edna served as ward librarian for many years. She was also involved in family history work. She had a great love for her family and wanted to keep up to date with their lives. She greatly missed her parents and aunts and uncles when they passed on and loved to share her memories of them. We know she is having a joyous reunion with them now.
She is survived by her siblings Boyd (Jane) Gourley, Betty (Ben) Feehan, Don H. (Tina) Gourley, David (Diana) Gourley; 6 nephews and 8 nieces; and 11 great-nephews and 10 great-nieces.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 12:30 pm at Spencer 4th Ward church building, 8181 West Breeze Drive (3320 South) Magna. Friends and family may call from 11 am to noon prior to services at the church. Internment will be in the Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery.
