Our Angel Mother, Grandmother, and Friend passed through the veil of life into eternity leaving behind a legacy of love, service, sacrifice, and testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for her children and grandchildren. Mom’s example of service began in our home as a stay at home mother and continued in her church service where she held many different callings such as a librarian, a young women’s leader, and a visiting teacher. She was truly a minister of Jesus Christ. Her example of service continued as she served nearly 20 years in both the Jordan River and Draper temples. She married Richard W. Baird, the love of her life, just 3 days before he was drafted into the army. When he returned 2 years later, they prepared and were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. From this marriage, they were blessed with 4 children: Teresa Baird, Julie (Kordell) Howell, Amy (Todd) Hall, and Michael (Shauna) Baird. From that they were blessed with 12 grandchildren: Nathan, Sterling, Danielle, and Jordan Howell, Joshua, Michael (Hailey), Sara, Matthew, and Emily Hall, and Zachary, Rylie and Raegan Baird. They were also blessed just recently with their first great grandchild, Zooey Hall. Preceded in death by her eternal companion Richard and two grandsons, Zachary and Joshua, she will be greatly missed, but her influence, example and legacy will be felt throughout the generations.
