Charlotte Kay Sturm

    Charlotte Kay Sturm passed away at Intermountain Medical Center, in Murray, UT on October 17, 2022, after suffering a major heart attack.

    Charlotte was the 5th child born to Frederick Eugene Scholes and Carolyn Jean Anthony, on May 9, 1967. She and her family grew up in Murray, UT, where she graduated from Murray High School. A few of her favorite jobs in life were working as a waitress at Wagon Master, Customer Service at Deseret Book, Human Resources at UBTA-UBET Communications (Strata Network in Roosevelt) and working with flowers at Costco, and a few other flower shops. She loved to do anything creative; cooking, baking, painting and glitter-fying any crafts or treasures she come across. She also loved helping everyone she came in contact with, whether it be a hug, a friendly hello, or a joyous conversation about your life.

    Charlotte was married to her childhood best friend, Rick Sturm, for 25 years. Sadly, they separated in 2014, and later divorced. At the time of passing, she was engaged to Larry Kinder.

    Charlotte’s biggest love in life was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Douglas Scholes. She is survived in life by: Lorraine O’Driscoll (sister), Kathryn King (sister), Mark Scholes (brother), Julene Harrison (sister) and her 3 sons; George Sturm (Ashley) of Sandy, UT, Jacob Sturm (Tyler) of Driggs, ID, and Riley Sturm of Herriman, UT. She loved her 3 boys unconditionally. She also left behind her cuddly puppy, Lucy-Loo.

    A viewing will be held at the Taylorsville LDS 8th Ward church house, 1495 Tamarack Rd, Taylorsville, UT, 84123, Monday October 24, 6pm-8pm. Tuesday morning there will be another viewing from 10:00am-10:45am at the Murray LDS 11th Ward church house, 5750 S. Nena Way, Murray, UT 84107. The funeral will start at 11:00am with a graveside memorial at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine St, Murray, UT 84107, to follow the funeral.
