In September 2024, Heavenly Father called our beloved Barb E Johnson to begin her journey with her dear husband, Robert C Johnson, who preceded her in death. Barb was born in Portland, Maine, in May of 1944, where she began her love of the eastern shores and lighthouses. Barb is survived by her children Melody (Gary Rakes), Krissy (Mark Delaney), Jeffery Johnson, Jeremy “JJ” Johnson (Angela), and Jodi (Gerardo E. “Jerry” Becerril, 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Barb Married the love of her life, Robert C Johnson, on December 5th, 1964, in the Manti Temple and shortly after began her travels across the US and the world with Robert being in the Army; during this time, five beautiful children came along, and gave her the greatest joy in life. In her early years of marriage, she began her studies to become an RN, a career she loved since she followed that career for 46 years and has worked in many hospitals and nursing homes across the valley, including being on the opening team for Lakeview Hospital. Away from work, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, attending their reunions, and taking family trips; she enjoyed working on puzzles (Lighthouses and Thomas Kincade scenes mostly) and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Over the years, she had many pets and loved them as she has loved all other things (sometimes more than others).
A viewing will be held Monday, September 16th at 10 am, followed by services at 11 am at the LDS Church, 1250 S. Main St., Bountiful, Utah. The interment will take place at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, where she will rest with her husband.
