Anita Dunn

Anita Dunn – loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother,
neighbor and daughter of our Heavenly Father – passed away peacefully at home on September
13, 2023. She was 92 years old. Anita was born in West Jordan, Utah on November 9, 1930 to
Albert and Louella Rose.

Anita married her sweetheart, Ray, on October 10, 1950 in the Salt Lake City Temple of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They shared 69 happy years together. Anita was
loved by her family and friends. She had a gift for making friends out of strangers.

She is survived by her brother, Gary (Becky) Rose, daughters Alayna (Brian) Olson and Lisa
(Loren) Patterson, and son, Jaren (Jeni) Dunn, as well as 11 grandchildren, 17 great-
grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She had many callings in the church and was loved by all those she served.

Anita loved the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, shopping, sewing, playing
games and cards, shopping, reading, dancing with her sweetheart, Ray, and did we mention
shopping? She was very creative. She wrote many roadshows and was particularly proud to
produce a special rendition of The King and I. She had a great sense of humor. She loved to
laugh and make others laugh. She was a fun-loving crazy woman.

The family would like to thank mom’s wonderful hospice nurses and caregivers, Grace, Kiery,
Scott and Bill for the kind and loving attention given to her when times were rough. Special
thanks go to the many acts of service given by Linda, Sharon and other neighbors and friends.
We are especially grateful to her special friends and next-door neighbors, Carol and Carl
Ringger, who provided countless acts of love, support and service. Carol, a special friend, is truly
an angel sent to our family to help us care for our mom.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 27 at 10 a.m. at the Mountain View 9th
ward, 1128 East 100 South, Payson, Utah (directly behind Mountain View Hospital). A viewing
will take place prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Internment: Utah Veterans
Cemetery, Bluffdale, Utah.
